About the team

The Worldpay Sanctions Compliance Team is dedicated to ensuring that Worldpay, LLC and its subsidiaries operate ethically and in full compliance with all applicable sanctions laws and regulations across the jurisdictions in which the company does business. Their primary responsibility is to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and manage sanctions compliance risks, as outlined in Worldpay’s Sanctions Compliance Policy.

What you will be doing:

The Sanction Screening Analyst will specialize in Crypto, alert decisioning, preparing metrics for management, assisting training new employees, engaging necessary stakeholders during escalations

  • Sanctions Screening & Investigation:
    Conduct advanced reviews of transactions, customer accounts, and payment instructions to identify potential sanctions violations. Perform in-depth investigations and escalate complex cases as necessary.

  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure adherence to global sanctions regimes (e.g., OFAC, UN, EU, UK, local authorities) and internal policies. Stay updated on regulatory changes and implement adjustments to procedures accordingly.

  • Risk Assessment & Mitigation:
    Assess and quantify sanctions risks across business units, products, and geographies. Recommend and implement mitigation strategies to reduce exposure.

  • Quality Assurance & Control:
    Review and validate work completed by junior analysts. Provide guidance and feedback to ensure accuracy and consistency in sanctions screening and investigations.

  • Reporting & Documentation:
    Prepare detailed reports for management, regulators, and auditors. Maintain thorough documentation of investigations, decisions, and rationale for audit trails.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    Liaise with internal teams (Compliance, Legal, Risk, Operations, Client Services) and external parties (regulators, law enforcement) to resolve sanctions-related queries and issues.

  • Training & Mentorship:
    Deliver training sessions and mentoring to junior analysts and other staff on sanctions compliance, investigative techniques, and regulatory updates.

  • System Enhancement & Testing:
    Participate in the evaluation, testing, and enhancement of sanctions screening systems and tools. Provide feedback to improve detection capabilities and reduce false positives.

  • Incident Management:
    Lead or support responses to sanctions-related incidents, including root cause analysis, remediation plans, and communication with stakeholders.

  • Continuous Improvement:
    Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve controls, and enhance overall sanctions compliance effectiveness.

What you bring:

Bachelor’s degree in business administration or law or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.

2-5 years of compliance experience; strong interest in financial crime and investigation skills.
• Communicates ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise, and professional manner
• Comprehensive knowledge of at least one substantive area of compliance, such as banking regulations, anti-money laundering, or anti-corruption
• Excellent analytical and project management skills; Intermediate Excel skills
• Ability to understand technical documents and legal or regulatory reference materials
• Ability to understand and apply learned concepts
• Demonstrated ability to plan and complete work within tight time limitations
• Ability to apply creative problem- solving techniques and tools to compliance issues
• Ability to follow and conduct a compliance monitoring program
• Ability to provide information to a variety of audiences and deal effectively with confidential issues that are sensitive in nature
• Ability to share information with awareness of its effect on others
