Job Role
We are looking for a hands-on Salesforce expert to help improve the quality and reliability of products built for complex Salesforce engineering environments.
The role combines platform engineering, technical investigation, scenario design, and product validation. You will recreate real-world development and release challenges, establish technically correct outcomes, identify edge cases, and work with Product and Engineering teams to improve product behaviour.
This role is suited to someone who understands how Salesforce behaves beyond the happy path.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design realistic Salesforce development, configuration, and release scenarios.
  • Establish expected outcomes and clear technical acceptance criteria.
  • Validate product behavior across metadata, code, security, integrations, and deployment workflows.
  • Investigate incorrect, incomplete, or inconsistent results.
  • Reproduce complex failures across orgs, sandboxes, API versions, and release configurations.
  • Build reusable technical assets that improve product coverage and prevent regressions.
  • Analyze dependencies, deployment sequencing, environment drift, and configuration differences.
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to prioritize platform gaps and improve reliability.
  • Track Salesforce platform releases and assess their impact on supported workflows.
  • Responsibility to adhere to set internal controls
Pride of Ownership
We value pride of ownership. Understand the customer, the product and the market need; form a clear, evidence-based opinion about how the product can improve; and work with others to turn that opinion into results. Strong coding skills and effective use of AI matter, but accountability continues after a feature is shipped. Be willing to challenge assumptions, listen to feedback and change your view when the evidence changes.
Experience & Desired Skills
Required Skills (Mandatory)
  • 5–8 years of hands-on Salesforce development or platform engineering experience.
  • Strong experience with Apex, Triggers, LWC, SOQL/SOSL, Flows, validation rules, and asynchronous processing.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce metadata, dependencies, deployment behavior, and org configuration.
  • Strong knowledge of profiles, permission sets, sharing, roles, record types, and field-level security.
  • Hands-on experience with Salesforce CLI, Metadata API, Tooling API, Apex testing, and deployment troubleshooting.
  • Strong Git skills, including branching, pull requests, merge-conflict resolution, and release promotion.
  • Experience working across multiple Salesforce orgs and sandbox strategies.
  • Ability to explain technical decisions through precise reasoning and evidence.
  • Strong written communication and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms or Salesforce DevOps products.
  • Experience diagnosing complex metadata, packaging, or environment-specific failures.
  • Exposure to REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth, Connected Apps, and Named Credentials.
  • Experience with managed packages, unlocked packages, namespaces, or enterprise release processes.
  • Experience defining technical test scenarios, review standards, or quality frameworks.
  • Experience with one or more Salesforce industry or specialized clouds.
  • Python or scripting experience is beneficial.
Salesforce Platform Exposure
Strong Salesforce Core Platform expertise is required.
Experience in one or more of the following is preferred:
  • Sales Cloud
  • Service Cloud
  • Experience Cloud
  • Revenue Cloud or CPQ
  • Field Service
  • Data Cloud
  • Financial Services Cloud
  • Health Cloud
  • Manufacturing Cloud
  • Salesforce Industries
  • Agentforce
Depth in every cloud is not expected. We value candidates who understand how platform capabilities affect metadata, security, integrations, and releases.
Certification
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I, Platform Developer II, JavaScript Developer I, Application Architect, System Architect, or relevant DevOps certifications are preferred (not required)
  • What is required is true experience in Salesforce development & implementations across verticals.
What success looks like
  • Complex Salesforce scenarios are represented accurately and reproducibly.
  • Platform-specific gaps and failure modes are identified early.
  • Technical outcomes are supported by clear evidence.
  • Product coverage expands across meaningful Salesforce use cases.
  • Discovered issues become durable regression protection.
  • Product and Engineering teams can make faster decisions with greater confidence.
Who Will Thrive Here
You will thrive in this role if you:
  • Enjoy investigating why the same change behaves differently across environments.
  • Naturally look for dependencies, edge cases, and hidden assumptions.
  • Can distinguish a valid alternative from a technically incorrect result.
  • Turn difficult incidents into repeatable technical scenarios.
  • Prefer evidence over intuition.
  • Communicate complex Salesforce behavior clearly and precisely.
Why join AutoRABIT
Your Salesforce expertise will directly influence how our products behave. You will have the opportunity to turn domain knowledge into better customer workflows and help teams prevent failures before customers encounter them.
