About this role
Role Purpose
The Senior Salesforce Developer will strengthen the engineering capability of the Preqin/BlackRock Salesforce platform, delivering high quality features, integrations, and support for business-critical global processes.
This role is central to CPQ transformation, ongoing Salesforce enhancements & Technical support supporting Sales, Client Services, Product, and Operations.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, technically deep, and comfortable working in a high-integration, fast-paced enterprise environment across multiple time zones.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Delivery
Develop scalable solutions using Apex, LWC, Flows, SOQL, Platforms Events.
Accountability on end-to-end delivery through your two-week Wed→Tue sprint cadence, including grooming, build, QA, and release readiness.
Design, build and implement integrations with external systems or utilizing external APIs using SOAP/REST APIs.
Build and maintain Salesforce integrations with other enterprise systems.
Solution Design & Architecture
Translate business requirements into robust and scalable Salesforce architecture with clear config vs code recommendations.
Design CPQ product rules, validations, and pricing logic for Preqin commercial workflows.
Ensure the design and code adheres to the best practices recommended by PMD rules or equivalent static code analysis tools.
Improve Lightning UI, automate processes, and optimize existing technical debt.
Extensive understanding of Salesforce data modelling
Leadership & Collaboration
Act as senior technical point for APAC/EMEA/AMER support teams.
Collaborate closely with Delivery Team across engineering, QA, and release teams.
Undertake cross team collaboration and accountability in multi team projects.
Guide support team; conduct code reviews and enforce engineering standards.
Platform & Release Governance
Support weekly releases: deployment validation, regression readiness, environment management.
Ensure compliance with BlackRock security, audit, and certificate rotation processes.
Partner with Security Architecture and Platform Engineering on high impact changes.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of Salesforce development in large enterprise orgs with integration-heavy architecture.
Strong expertise in Apex, LWC, Flows, asynchronous patterns, Salesforce DX, Git.
Experience with REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, and bi‑directional data sync.
Demonstrated experience in Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, CPQ, and Lightning modernization.
Experience in working with various developmental frameworks (fflib, Unit of Work, Query Factory, Domain Layer Principles etc).
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex incidents across Salesforce + connected systems.
Knowledge in Salesforce Revenue Cloud Advanced is desirable.
Skilled in leveraging AI‑assisted tooling to improve development efficiency, code quality, and overall engineering practices.
Experienced in Salesforce DevOps best practices, including the design and operation of CI/CD pipelines using tools such as TeamCity or equivalent platforms.
Proven experience delivering data integration initiatives.
Exposure to Master Data Management (MDM) platforms is desirable.
Monitor Salesforce platform health, proactively identifying issues and implementing remediation actions to maintain system stability.
4. Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce Platform Developer I & II
Architect credentials (App Architect, System Architect) are highly desirable
Experience with financial data providers, or asset/alternative investments (advantageous)

Proactive, self-directed, and able to operate in a global team model
Excellent communicator; able to work directly with business stakeholders
Comfortable handling high-pressure incidents and production escalations

A strong collaborator who works effectively within cross‑functional teams, while also demonstrating the ability to operate autonomously and take full ownership of deliverables.
