As the Senior Sales Manager, your responsibilities will include soliciting, capturing, planning, and coordinating events. Your focus is to maximize the use of banquet space and surpass revenue goals by developing new accounts and growing current hotel accounts in a profitable and win-win selling approach. It is essential to provide warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance to reassure guests that they have made the right choice by booking with us. The Senior Sales Manager is a seasoned sales professional and a top producer in hotel sales, demonstrating a commitment to direct sales through outstanding performance.


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with intermediate to advanced Word and Excel skills
  • Prior exposure to computerized Sales & hotel Property Management Software; experience with OPERA and CI-TY software is a plus
  • Extensive skill in development and delivery of sales presentations.
  • Knowledge of travel industry,  current market trends, and economic factors.
  • Knowledge of group sales process and how to close a sale.
  • A genuine interest in hospitality; a desire to make others feel welcome, comfortable, and cared for
  • A collaborative spirit and enjoyment of teamwork
  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt processes and standards is an advantage
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and/or holidays.

 As the Senior Sales Manager, Your Responsibilities Will Include: 

  • Understanding the overall market, including competitors, economic trends, and the dynamics of supply and demand.
  • Ensuring that business bookings comply with hotel parameters.
  • Implementing process improvements and best practices.
  • Collaborating with other sales team members to achieve both personal and team revenue goals.
  • Ensuring that business is handed over properly and promptly for quality service delivery.
  • Managing all group business from the hotel’s top accounts.
  • Meeting and exceeding all revenue targets.
  • Assisting in implementing special promotions related to direct sales segments, such as parties or sales blitzes.
  • Preparing required reports in a timely manner.
  • Conducting site inspections throughout the property to maximize revenue by selling all aspects of the hotel, both verbally and in writing, to previous, current, and potential clients.
  • Managing account details to ensure that all aspects of solicitation and closing are complete and documented.
  • Communicating with other departments to ensure proper handling and servicing of accounts.
  • Traveling locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel, and review competition reader boards to develop leads.
  • Traveling out of town to solicit business.
  • Preparing information for meetings with clients and entertains them as appropriate based on potential business from those accounts.
  • Representing the hotel at trade shows as specified by the corporate trade show attendance guide, which may involve setting up exhibits that require bending, stooping, lifting, and reading overhead.
  • Assisting with ordering amenities for meeting planners or VIPs.
  • Increasing visibility of the hotel by actively participating in the community.
  • Keeping the immediate supervisor promptly informed of all problems or significant issues.
  • Performing all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner, following established company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines and local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Always projecting a favorable image of the hotel group and the hotel to the public.
