Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing web applications using Ruby on Rails, possess excellent problem-solving skills, and be able to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. As a Senior Developer, you will be responsible for leading and contributing to the development of innovative, high-performance, and scalable web applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain efficient and reliable Ruby on Rails applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, providing technical guidance and expertise.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
- Work closely with product owners and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in the Ruby and Rails ecosystem.
- Contribute to the development of best practices and coding standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a Senior Ruby on Rails Developer, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
- In-depth knowledge of Ruby language and the Rails framework.
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and data structures.
- Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
- Strong relational database skills, with experience in PostgreSQL or similar databases.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and continuous integration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven experience in leading and mentoring development teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Docker and containerization.
- TDD/BDD experience with tools like RSpec or similar.
