Ready to make connectivity from space universally accessible, secure and actionable? Then you've come to the right place!
E-Space is bridging Earth and space to enable hyper-scaled deployments of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and services. We are building a highly-advanced low Earth orbit (LEO) space system that will fundamentally change the design, economics, manufacturing and service delivery associated with traditional satellite and terrestrial IoT systems.
We're intentional, we're unapologetically curious and we're 100% committed to innovate space-based communications and deliver actionable intelligence that will expand global economies, protect space and our planet and enhance our overall quality of life.
The E-Space Manufacturing team builds the world's most advanced aerospace products at high rate and high precision.
As a Senior Robotics Engineer, you'll program and integrate the ABB and Fanuc robots that assemble our satellites. You'll own robotic cells end-to-end - from path planning and EOAT integration to commissioning and cycle-time optimization - and serve as the dedicated robotics owner the team needs as we scale. This is a hands-on role for someone who has deployed industrial robots in production and wants to build a robotics function from a strong foundation. This position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering leadership team.
Your mission
What you will own
· Program, simulate, and commission industrial robots for manufacturing applications.
· Own robotic cells from concept through commissioning, including path planning, EOAT integration, and safety.
· Optimize cycle time, reliability, and throughput of production robotic cells.
· Integrate robots with PLC controls, vision systems, sensors, and end-of-arm tooling.
· Develop and maintain robot programs, frames, and tooling calibrations.
· Lead on-floor commissioning, troubleshooting, and handover of production cells.
· Mentor junior robotics engineers and set programming standards.
· Process integration. Work with manufacturing engineers on automated sequences, equipment interfaces, test evidence, and production handover.
How you lead
Extreme ownership. You own the outcome of your work. When a dependency threatens delivery, engage the right people, communicate the impact, and drive a recovery plan. Take responsibility for your decisions and learn from mistakes.
Bias for action. Move quickly from a problem to a decision and a next step. Escalate blockers early and act with urgency while maintaining safety and product quality.
Drive and follow-through. Define what done means before work begins. Make clear commitments, inspect progress, and stay engaged until the required result is achieved and verified. Close the loop with others.
High standards and direct communication. Use facts, raise concerns early, and communicate candidly. Follow review and release requirements, ask for help when needed, and make handoffs clear.
What you bring
· 5+ years programming and integrating industrial robots in production - ABB and/or Fanuc.
· Hands-on experience with robot cell design, EOAT integration, and commissioning.
· Familiarity with machine vision, sensors, pneumatics, and safety systems.
· Understanding of how robotics integrate with PLC/motion control (Beckhoff a plus).
· Strong troubleshooting skills on live production equipment.
· BS in Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or equivalent.
Preferred experience
· Both ABB and Fanuc programming experience.
· Offline programming / simulation (RobotStudio, Roboguide).
· Machine-vision and force-control integration.
· Background in complex manufacturing or precision automation.

What We Do
E-Space is a global space company focused on bridging Earth and space with the most sustainable low earth orbit (LEO) network that is expected to reach over one hundred thousand multi-application communication satellites to help businesses and governments securely and affordably access the power of space to solve problems on Earth. Founded by industry pioneer Greg Wyler, E-Space is focused on democratizing space and transforming industries by bringing down the cost of space-based communications, raising the level of satellite system resiliency and setting a new standard in sustainable space infrastructure that will effectively minimize and reduce space debris and destruction while preserving access to space for future generations.
