We are seeking a highly skilled and entrepreneurial Senior Roadway Project Manager to join our Dallas-Fort Worth team. Lochmueller Group is an engineering consulting firm with an emphasis on infrastructure.  We provide multi-disciplined services for a variety of public agencies and private entities, including transportation design; water resources design; environmental analysis & permitting; construction engineering & inspection; traffic engineering & transportation planning; surveying; and land acquisition & appraisal. Our transportation design team offers a variety of services, but most of our work involves roadway and bridge design for various local agencies and state DOT’s.

Key responsibilities of this role will include:

  • Team Growth and Leadership: Collaborate with the Division Manager, corporate staff, and management to aid in the growth of a high-performing roadway design engineering team; As the team grows, lead and manage one or more teams, including engineers and technicians. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. Foster a positive workplace culture, exemplifying the company’s core values. Ensure the professional growth and development of department team members. Guide the team to deliver high-quality results.
  • Project Management and Delivery: Manage local agency and DOT roadway design projects. Ensure project deliverables are completed on time and within budget. Lead in the planning, execution, and delivery of roadway design projects. Plan, organize, and direct activities of project teams and/or direct reports, including project management, design, and construction oversight. Perform QC/QA as needed to ensure all deliverables represent a high standard. 
  • Business Development and Client Relations: Develop new client relationships and seek out opportunities for new business. Maintain strong relationships with existing clients. Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with regulations and specifications. Collaborate with the company’s other service lines to effectively promote our capabilities and cross-sell services. 
  • You may also be involved in other various responsibilities and projects in this role.

Qualifications for this role:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE)
  • 12+ years of progressive roadway design experience, including experience with TxDOT projects
  • Strong interest in driving client engagement and pursuing new business opportunities
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Experience with project management and accounting software
  • Exceptional organization skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
