DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide the necessary technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to the team.
- Develop the appropriate engineering solutions and coordinate with other disciplines for implementation.
- Allocates civil engineering resources to projects according to project requirements.
- Assists the Project Managers in delivering quality design services, meeting project revenue targets, and exceeding client expectations.
- Responsible for the complete civil engineering design requirements, introducing technical solutions and innovative ideas to the project.
- Keeps abreast of new developments and methods affecting his particular area of expertise.
- Accountable for specific task/project assignments, which include planning, design, analysis, quantification, and production of engineering reports, among others.
- Ensure that relevant design codes and standards are met and that Safety in design is applied in every task.
- Responsible for coordinating efforts and quality assurance between disciplines, working closely with the Group Head or Project Manager.
- May function as Project Manager/ Task Lead for projects, as assigned, depending on project size and complexities.
- Looks into business opportunities for TY Lin and assists in BD proposals related to the line of expertise.
- Adheres to the company’s Quality and Health & Safety Policy.
- Assess staff performance in line with HR procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS (INCLUDING EDUCATION and/or JOB EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. A post-graduate degree is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience – Roads and Highways, drainage, land development, etc.
- Extensive knowledge of Civil3D, InRoads, CAD, and Microsoft Applications.
- Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.
- High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
- Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.
