The Role

About the Role:

In this senior-level role, you will serve as a subject matter expert and strategic partner, leading complex data and reporting initiatives that influence key business decisions. You’ll drive automation, process optimization, and advanced analytics solutions while mentoring team members and collaborating with leadership to shape reporting strategies. This position offers the opportunity to lead impactful projects, champion innovation, and contribute to operational excellence and superior client service.

This position offers flexibility with 3 days per week in our Milwaukee, WI office and 2 days remote. 

The Impact You’ll Make:

  • Design and execute automation strategies to streamline reporting processes and reduce manual effort.

  • Develop and maintain advanced dashboards and visualizations for executive decision-making.

  • Oversee and manage delivery of recurring reports (monthly, quarterly, annual) for internal stakeholders and regulatory requirements.

  • Lead complex ad hoc analysis and advanced modeling to support strategic business initiatives.

  • Ensure data integrity across multiple systems and implement robust governance practices.

  • Partner with senior leadership to define analytics priorities and deliver actionable insights.

  • Standardize and optimize reporting frameworks for scalability and efficiency.

  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and lead adoption of innovative analytics solutions.

  • Represent the analytics function in cross-functional projects and strategic planning sessions.

What You’ll Bring to Baird:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Business, Computer Science, or related fields or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics, reporting, or a related role, with demonstrated leadership in complex projects.

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) required.

  • Advanced experience with relational databases and query tools (SQL required; experience with automation tools preferred).

Key Skills/Qualifications:

  • Expert-level understanding of data management principles and reporting best practices.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in managing large, complex datasets.

  • Excellent communication skills for presenting insights to senior leadership and diverse audiences.

  • Proven ability to lead projects, influence stakeholders, and drive strategic outcomes.

  • Strong organizational skills and commitment to accuracy, innovation, and continuous improvement. 

  • Possess a natural curiosity in understanding how data and technology can be used to solve business problems
