Role Summary
Reporting to Head of Mid Market, the Senior Relationship Manager is a high-impact, client-facing leadership role dedicated to the growth and management of our SME and Business Banking portfolio in Singapore. You will lead efforts in new client acquisition and the strategic deepening of existing relationships, driving revenue through tailored financial solutions while maintaining the highest standards of credit quality and operational excellence within the digital banking ecosystem.

What You’ll Do
Sales & Relationship Management

  • Achieve agreed individual financial and non-financial targets by acquiring, growing, and retaining profitable Medium Market clients.

  • Drive new-to-bank (NTB) acquisition and portfolio growth within the Mid-Market SME segment.

  • Originate NTB opportunities through personal networks, lead generation, marketing calls, sales activities, and strategic partnerships.

  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of NTB clients aligned with the bank’s strategy, with clear prioritization, disciplined follow-through, and measurable conversion outcomes.

  • Develop and manage client relationships by understanding customer needs, identifying opportunities, and structuring appropriate financial solutions.

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Credit Risk and Operations teams, to ensure seamless service delivery and execution.

Credit Quality, Risk & Governance

  • Independently conduct comprehensive loan evaluations and credit analyses to assess borrower creditworthiness, identify opportunities, and structure appropriate financing solutions.

  • Ensure strict adherence to internal credit policies and all regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor early warning signals and proactively coordinate remediation actions where necessary.

  • Uphold strong sales governance, including KYC/AML standards, client suitability, and documentation quality; ensure timely closure of audit and remediation items.

What you'll need

  • Minimum 5–10 years in SME/Mid-Market commercial banking, preferably within large local corporate segments, with an established business network and a proven track record in acquiring new business.

  • Strong understanding of working capital, trade finance, and unsecured term lending, including covenants, collateral, and documentation. Experience in accounts receivable (AR) financing or factoring is an advantage.

  • Solid knowledge of KYC/AML requirements, MAS-aligned regulatory standards, sales governance, and audit remediation practices.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions.

Skills Required

  • 5-10 years of experience in SME or mid-market commercial banking
  • Experience in large local corporate segments
  • Established business network and proven track record acquiring new business
