The Senior Technical Recruiter will play a key role in talent prospecting, talent evaluation and screening, job advertising and posting, and talent staffing and planning. This role is crucial in attracting and hiring skilled professionals for Technical positions within an organization. Your focus will be working with leaders to expedite placement, reduce time-to-fill, and ensure we attract top talent. This role may also support other roles as needed within the organization.
Position Description:
Sourcing and Engagement:
- Use advanced techniques, professional networks, and industry events to find and attract top technical talent in fields like software development, data science, and DevOps.
- May participate in recruiting events, conferences, and meetups to network with professionals
- Promote the company’s reputation as a great place to work
Candidate Assessment:
- Conduct technical interviews to evaluate candidates' expertise, problem-solving skills, and cultural fit for the role and company.
- Interview candidates combining various methods (e.g. structured interviews, technical assessments and behavioral questions)
Hiring Manager Collaboration:
- Partner with engineering and technical leaders to understand hiring needs, define job requirements, and deliver a seamless recruitment process.
Process Ownership:
- Manage the entire recruitment lifecycle, from developing sourcing strategies to negotiating salaries and closing candidates.
Process Improvement:
- Stay current on technical recruiting trends and best practices, using data to continuously improve the recruitment process and strategies.
Compliance:
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining legally defensible and effective hiring processes for the firm to include integration with the legal department and compliance area as necessary
Non-technical Recruiting
- Sources and supports other open roles within the organization
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree + 4 or more years of relevant experience or 8+ years relevant experience
- Full life cycle recruiting experience
- A strong understanding of technical roles, such as software engineering, data science, and network engineering.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), professional networking platforms like LinkedIn Recruiter, and other sourcing tools.
- Knowledge of HR functions and relevant labor laws
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to engage with candidates and hiring teams
Desired Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Immigration experience
Physical Demands/ Work Environment:
- Travel Requirement: Less than 10%
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Ability to work extended hours as required
