About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior React Native Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in mobile development, particularly with React Native, and a strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, especially those involving third-party libraries and native integrations. This role requires excellent communication skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to support and mentor less experienced engineers.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and optimize mobile applications using React Native.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to third-party libraries and SDKs (e.g., Zoom).
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with backend systems, including Salesforce Cloud.
Work with real-time communication tools (e.g., WebSockets, PubNub) to support chat and video features.
Dive into native code (Swift, Objective-C, Kotlin, Java) when necessary to resolve platform-specific issues.
Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership within the team.
Support and mentor junior engineers, helping them overcome technical challenges.
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in mobile development, with a strong focus on React Native.
Proven ability to identify, debug, and resolve complex issues quickly and effectively.
Experience integrating and troubleshooting third-party SDKs, especially for video conferencing.
Familiarity with real-time communication technologies and protocols.
Ability to read and modify native mobile code (iOS and Android).
Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Experience working in structured codebases with complex architectural decisions.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience integrating with real-time communication platforms (e.g., chat, video, or voice services using WebSockets, PubNub, or similar technologies).
Experience with Salesforce integrations.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and best practices.
Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience working in cross-functional teams with varying levels of technical expertise.
