We are seeking a highly experienced Senior React Native Consultant for a 3-month engagement with a leading Melbourne-based digital product company. You will lead the mobile development efforts for a greenfield or high-priority React Native project, working alongside a cross-functional team of designers, back-end developers, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and development of React Native mobile applications for iOS and Android.

• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and backend engineers to deliver intuitive, high-performing apps.

• Provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and conduct code reviews.

• Ensure best practices in performance, security, accessibility, and scalability.

• Contribute to decision-making on tooling, libraries, and architectural patterns.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies and maintain strong communication with stakeholders.

Key Skills & Experience:

• 5+ years of experience in mobile app development.

• 3+ years of solid hands-on experience with React Native (TypeScript preferred).

• Deep understanding of native iOS/Android integrations and bridging.

• Experience with Redux, React Navigation, Firebase, or similar tools.

• Familiarity with native modules and integrating third-party SDKs.

• Proven experience deploying and maintaining apps in the App Store and Google Play.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Detox).

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Expo or EAS.

• Prior consulting or contracting experience.

• Familiarity with Australian accessibility or security standards.

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
