Senior Quantitative Risk Analyst (f/d/m)

Your main tasks:

• You actively support the management of the risks for the energy trading business of the EWE TRADING in close partnership with the trading desks
• Designing, developing, enhancing and maintaining our quantitative models and methods are your core objective. These include especially
  • The valuation and risk measures of energy related products like storages, PPAs, batteries, options and other flexibilities such as the company’s electrolysis asset
  • The main risk KPIs for trades and portfolios
  • The documentation and quality assurance
• The development and implementation of concepts and methods is done by you and your colleagues in close cooperation with the Analysis and DevOps teams
• You work independently on projects and ad hoc-analyses and evaluations are provided by you when needed
• You support the evaluation and development of new trading strategies and products and improve our trading system
• You support your Risk Management fellows and all other departments (e.g. the Trading Desks, the Credit Riskmanagement Team, etc.)

Your profile:

• A degree in mathematics, physics, business mathematics, business information systems or equivalent experience in the energy, finance or insurance sector
• Very strong skillsets in modelling, implementing and applying stochastic models within the energy, finance or comparable sectors (e.g. option pricing, greeks, VaR, PaR, fair values, etc.)
• Very good programming skills, preferably in Python
• Several years of experience in the energy business
• Experience with reporting tools, preferably Microsoft Power BI, is an advantage
• Very good verbal and written communication skills in English
• You are a reliably team player and can also work on your own
