The RoleWe’re looking for an experienced QA Automation Engineer to help us scale a high-quality, reliable SaaS platform used for mission-critical financial decision-making.
As part of Limelight’s Product Development team, you’ll own and evolve our automated testing strategy—ensuring stability, performance, and trust across everything we ship, from core financial modeling to AI-driven features.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building robust automation frameworks, collaborating closely with developers and product managers, and raising the quality bar across the organization.
What You’ll DoDesign, build, and maintain automated test frameworks for a modern web-based SaaS platform
Create and execute functional, regression, integration, and release validation tests
Validate complex workflows involving financial data, calculations, and models
Build and maintain API automation (REST/JSON) and integrate into CI/CD pipelines
Identify, document, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and impact analysis
Ensure high confidence in every release with a strong focus on reliability and user trust
Partner closely with the team to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
Provide quality input and risk assessment during sprint planning and release cycles
Communicate testing results, quality risks, and recommendations clearly and proactively
What You Bring3+ years of QA automation experience in SaaS or web-based applications
Strong hands-on experience with API testing (REST/JSON, auth, error handling) and running tests in CI (e.g., Postman + Newman)
Experience with browser automation (Playwright preferred; Cypress, Selenium, or similar)
Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript for test automation
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (parallel runs, retries, artifacts, quality gates)
Working knowledge of Git and SQL (PostgreSQL) for test data setup and validation
Strong ability to debug end-to-end issues using browser DevTools and logs
Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating cross-functionally
Ability to write clear, high-quality defect reports with evidence and impact
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
Nice to have:
Experience testing AI/ML-driven features
Experience with financial, analytics, or data-intensive platforms
EducationBachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
