Senior Quality Control Engineer

This role ensures the highest standards in material, process, and finished product quality. It plays a critical part in evaluating each production batch through standardized testing, maintaining integrity and objectivity throughout. Supports and leads continuous improvement initiatives, uphold EHS and 5S standards, and manage quality systems aligned with industry best practices. Strong follow-up skills and the ability to resolve team and cross-functional conflicts are key to success in this role.
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Improve QC accuracy with zero SSPL and complaint cause from QC miss interpretation on the result and take part in quality assessment for expired material and products to support technical team to extend self-life of material and product
• Work closely with production line to fix QC issue with toller to keep line running smoothly
• Coordinate and support new product development activity related to product Quality. Lead the first lot control process working together with technical
• Work across departments to drive / improve First Run Capability
• Assure the product quality is consist per customer requirements
• Lead the investigation for product quality problems, determine root cause, gather and analyze data and implement corrective action to reduce or eliminate cause
• Routinely review regular inspection data and prepare statistical and operational performance reports
• Monitor and perform quality activities to support First Lot Control (FLC) process and review the stock shelf life in advance to ensure the stock is life and ready to use without any issues
   

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline, Chemistry is preferred
• Minimum 3+ years of working experience in manufacturing plants preferably in paint industry in the similar position
• Knowledge of paint or chemicals will be added advantage.
• Knowledge / Qualification in Lean Six Sigma will be an added advantage.
• Able to communicate with a larger team internal and external country both in local language and English.
