Description
The Quality Assurance Engineer is expected to deliver high quality product testing and comprehensive support Workforce Optimizer Products. This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills. JIRA case notes must be kept up to date and accurately recorded: a defined problem statement, troubleshooting efforts, results and next steps with timeframes to be taken, along with actual time worked. He or she is expected to utilize outstanding customer service skills and techniques that promote customer satisfaction and retention. This position requires that technical skills and domain expertise be constantly updated to adhere to service level commitments, customer expectations, and the changing technology landscape
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in QA engineering, with a focus on testing complex, large-scale enterprise web applications.
- Strong expertise in manual testing methodologies, including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing across the full product development lifecycle.
- Proven experience testing software products in JAVA / J2EE and modern Web environments (HTML, CSS, JSON).
- Experience implementing and executing API-level test cases (e.g., using Postman or similar tools) is highly preferred.
- Solid working knowledge of Windows environments and SQL databases, with the ability to write queries for data verification and backend validation.
- Highly proficient with JIRA or similar bug-tracking tools, with a track record of maintaining clear, detailed defect reports, troubleshooting logs, and root-cause analyses.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical issues clearly and promote customer satisfaction when supporting product issues.
- A proactive team player who can work independently with minimal supervision, while also collaborating effectively with developers and cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or STEM
- 2+ years testing large, complex enterprise web applications with focus on automation QA
- 2+ years hands-on experience developing automated test suites using Selenium or similar tools
- Experience testing software products in Java / J2EE and web environments
- Excellent knowledge of Internet / Web technologies
- Good working knowledge of Windows environment and SQL databases
- Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to work on a team
- Experience implementing API-level test cases
- Exposure to full life-cycle commercial product development environment
