Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (m/f/d) - Team Webstack - Onsite in Hamburg or Berlin

We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (m/w/d) to join our team.  In this role, you will focus on automation testing and JavaScript debugging, utilizing automated testing tools like Cypress to validate and enhance our products to ensure the quality and reliability of our web applications.  You will review and accept features based on established criteria and manage stakeholder communication, including with other QA team members. Your responsibilities will include handling bug tickets, prioritising bugs with product management, and creating detailed bug reports. Strong communication skills are essential as you will work closely with developers to resolve issues.  Experience with TestRail and an understanding of business-critical paths are beneficial.

What you will do

• Develop and implement comprehensive QA strategies focused on manual testing processes
• Perform high-quality manual and automated testing for the ABOUT YOU Web Shop covering the whole customer journey 
• Contribute to the development and enhancement of ABOUT YOU's long-term automated testing strategy
• Manage and prioritise bug reports, tickets from internal and external stakeholders and analyze business value using internal data sources
• Oversee the complete bug lifecycle, including reporting, reproducing, and resolving bugs
• Collaborate with product management, development teams, and other stakeholders to define acceptance criteria and ensure feature acceptance based on requirements
• Leverage your experience in debugging and reading JavaScript to assist in identifying and resolving issues.
• Ensure a high-quality product by not just following the acceptance criteria but also proactive suggesting UX improvements

Who you are

• You have 3 years experience in quality assurance, testing and debugging of frontend applications (JavaScript) in big scale projects
• You are experienced in manual testing (explorative and destructive) as well as automated testing (e.g. with cypress.io)
• You are familiar with process / ticketing tools such as Jira & Confluence.
• You have very good experience with testing tools, such as TestRail
• You are able to get a quick grasp of complex technical systems
• You focus on the details but always keep the business value of software in mind
• You are experienced with agile methodologies and understand what it means to have a quality mindset in an agile environment
• You possess very good communication skills and the ability to handle different stakeholders
• You speak and write English fluently
