This franchise is one of the hottest new properties in gaming, and our team is naturally expanding as our ambition expands. To give a taste of our brand's popularity, more than 100 billion YouTube views of Poppy Playtime related content have occured since the game's launch 4 years ago.
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and highly experienced Senior QA Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in ensuring the highest quality gameplay experiences by rigorously testing features, identifying issues, mentoring junior testers, and collaborating closely with developers and designers.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, execute, and document comprehensive test cases for new and existing features across various platforms.
- Identify, investigate, and report high-quality bugs with clear and concise reproduction steps.
- Mentor and guide junior QA testers, ensuring best practices in testing and documentation.
- Perform regression, smoke, and exploratory testing throughout development cycles.
- Collaborate with developers, designers, and producers to ensure timely resolution of critical issues.
- Own specific areas of the game and act as the QA point of contact for those features or systems.
- Provide feedback on gameplay balance, usability, and user experience from a player’s perspective.
- Help maintain test plans, build verification procedures, and test case documentation.
- Contribute to the continual improvement of QA processes and tools.
- 4+ years of QA testing experience in the video game industry, with at least 1 year in a senior or lead capacity.
- Deep understanding of QA methodologies, bug tracking systems (e.g., JIRA), and version control tools (e.g., Perforce, Git).
- Experience testing on multiple platforms (PC, console, mobile).
- Strong communication skills and ability to provide actionable feedback.
- Keen attention to detail and a passion for ensuring quality gameplay experiences.
- Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced development environment.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum workflows is a plus.
- Experience with Unreal Engine, Unity, or custom engines is a plus.
- Scripting experience for automation or test tools.
- Experience working with multiplayer or live service titles.
- A passion for games and deep knowledge of current gaming trends.
