Senior QA test engineer

Key accountabilities

• Analyse software requirements to plan appropriate tests
• Plan tests, defining scenarios, parameters and acceptance criteria for software validation
• Write and execute Tests
• Highlight any software defects
• Collaborate with developers to analyse problems and direct resolution
• Coordinate, maintain and evolve automatic test batteries and test automation methods, increasing requirements coverage
• Collaborate in analysing and addressing Incidents

Must-Have Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering
• At least 5 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong focus on financial or trading applications
• Proven expertise of test methodologies, both for manual and automated testing
• Knowledge of test management tools such as X-Ray
• Ability to design and implement comprehensive test plans and complex test cases
• Proficiency with test automation tools (e.g., Tosca, Selenium, Cypress)
• Ability to collaborate with other teams (DEV,AM,TAM) to analyze/solve end-to-end problems
• In-depth understanding of trade lifecycle and financial markets
• Proactive mindset toward continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
• Excellent communication and relationship skills with teams and external stakeholders
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, proactivity and autonomy within the team
• Excellent knowledge of the English language

Nice-to-Have Skills / Qualifications / Experience

• Understanding of FIX protocol and real-time financial messaging systems
• Scripting knowledge (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for enhanced automation
• Familiarity with version control and CI/CD tools (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Atlassian suite)
• Experience with performance testing tools for NFT (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience using cloud test farms offered by AWS
• Internationally recognized software quality/testing certification (e.g. ISTQB);
• SQL know-how for data validation
• Hands-on experience with trading platforms, Order Management Systems (OMS), or market data feeds
