Job Description
What We Need:
We are searching for curious, detail-oriented technical expert with exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills.
We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills and a natural desire for leadership.
As a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards for our client surveys. Your responsibilities will include:
- Understanding and Improving Logic: Analyze and enhance survey logic, identifying errors and making recommendations across projects of all complexity levels.
- Testing Advanced Features: Test complex survey programming features like randomization, quotas, and dynamic content display.
- Bug Identification: Identify and document bugs, inconsistencies, and deviations from expected behavior.
- Thorough Testing:
- Conduct comprehensive testing of survey platforms, ensuring all question types, skip logic, piping, and branching work as expected.
- Validate survey design against project specifications to ensure proper flow and functionality.
- Perform cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure surveys function consistently across various platforms, including desktop, mobile, and tablet.
- Test the functionality and aesthetic presentation of surveys, ensuring they are fully operational and visually appealing for respondents.
- Quality Assurance:
- Uncover problems before surveys are launched and released to respondents.
- Test data integrity and project functionality.
- Assess timelines for QA testing tasks and ensure project deadlines are met.
- Evaluate and test project deliverables to verify they meet client specifications and standards.
- Implement, follow, and maintain QA best practices and project processes to ensure a consistent approach to testing and quality control.
- Utilize both manual and automated tools and reports for testing.
- Mentorship and Review:
- Mentor and transfer knowledge to new and existing staff members.
- Conduct “top level” reviews of projects initially reviewed by another team member.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to junior QA specialists.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with Programming, Data Processing, Project Management, and external teams to guarantee survey quality and ensure alignment on project goals and timelines.
- Communicate with team members, partners, and clients via email/phone to clarify requirement specifications and customer needs.
- Ownership and Support:
- Display ownership, accountability, and pride in the work you deliver.
- Provide support by monitoring the insource inbox, assigning QA to new projects, monitoring active projects and their timelines, discussing concerns with Project Managers, covering QA tasks for out-of-office team members, troubleshooting, and managing Change Log/Portal access.
Qualifications
What's in Your Tool Kit:
- Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Forsta Surveys (Decipher) and/or Forsta Plus (Confirmit) platforms.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in testing and confirming the functionality of special survey elements, including Custom Programming, Maxdiff, DCM, and algorithms.
- Project Management: Capable of handling high-complexity (L4) projects as the primary QA.
- Cross-Platform Testing: Experienced in cross-browser and cross-device testing (desktop, mobile, tablet).
- Market Research Knowledge: Familiar with market research methodologies and data collection processes.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail.
- Standards and Practices: Ability to strictly follow standards and practices.
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Bonus Skills:
- Knowledge of SPSS, Quantum, WinCross, or Sawtooth is a plus.
