Senior QA Software Test Automation Engineer (1 year contract)

As a automation QA engineer for our Managed Services clients, you will join an amazing team who are committed to improving product quality. In this role, you will focus on product quality assurance while considering functionality, performance, security, GUI and many other factors. You will use Java/Kotlin, Selenium, Selenide, REST Assured, TestNG, Gradle, Git, TestRail, and Jenkins while performing automation testing for either web or mobile applications.

Working within the existing testing environment, you will have the chance to create testing suites from scratch. Our team will help you reach your full potential while you work with cutting edge technologies on challenging projects.

Your activities will include:

• Closely collaborate with the development team to help deliver high quality software.
• Understand and translate business requirements to technical requirements.
• Enhance software delivery and quality throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle.
• Perform automated functional and performance testing.
• Design and develop the test automation framework, implement required libraries, and conduct auto-tests.
• Maintain CI pipelines and integrate automated scripts into CI tools.
• Manage any issues that may arise and drive resolutions throughout the testing process.
• Actively participate in the Software Development Life Cycle and Software Testing Life Cycle.

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.  

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in quality assurance, with a strong focus on test automation and data-intensive systems.  

• Proficiency in SQL and a proven ability to validate data within complex relational databases.  

• Strong programming skills in at least one object-oriented language, with a preference for JS  

• Demonstrable experience building and maintaining front-end automation test suites with modern tools like Playwright.  

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Gitlab, or Github and version control systems like Git.  

• A deep understanding of Agile methodologies and a track record of thriving in fast-paced Agile environments.  

• Exceptional problem-solving skills, a keen attention to detail, and the QA mindset to perform root cause analysis.  

Bonus Points: What Will Make You Stand Out   

• Experience with large-scale data migration and ETL testing.  

• Previous experience testing financial management systems or working in the insurance/financial services industry.  

• Experience with performance testing tools such as Apache JMeter or K6.
