Position Overview
AHOY is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior QA Engineer with expertise in both manual and automated testing methodologies. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software applications by designing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test strategies. You will work closely with development and product teams to drive quality initiatives and improve our testing processes.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute both manual and automated test cases for web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and establish quality standards.
- Implement testing frameworks and tools to automate process and improve testing efficiency.
- Perform regression, performance, and load testing and analyze results to identify areas for improvement.
- Identify, document, and track defects through the defect lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on quality-related issues.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior QA team members.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in QA practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on both manual and automated testing.
- Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Experience with script programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Solid problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred.
- Certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD processes.
- Familiarity with mobile application testing frameworks.
- Experience with cloud-based testing environments (e.g., AWS, Azure).
