Role Overview

Remote – Europe based but not Germany, France, Italy or Austria (with full Right to Work eligibility within your location)

We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving product environment and takes full ownership of driving quality across the entire development lifecycle. You will be the quality partner to our developers and product managers, helping us design robust solutions, uncover risks early, and build a strong engineering culture around quality.

This is not a traditional “test-at-the-end” QA role. You’ll work side-by-side with the team, facilitate quality activities, identify gaps, propose pragmatic solutions, and lead initiatives that level up how we build and deliver software.

Who we are

C TWO gives enterprises the control they need as automation and agentic AI reshape how work gets done. Our Agentic Management Platform coordinates and governs real‑time execution across automations, agents, and humans—ensuring visibility, compliance, and performance at scale. We help organizations accelerate automation confidently while keeping governance at the core.

Our ethos

We are friendly and informal people! We are passionate about our company and team as we all have a stake in our success. We have an inclusive environment welcoming the skills and experience from many diverse backgrounds, together we have created who we are and what we sell.

What you will be doing

Quality Leadership

  • Drive a shift-left quality mindset across the team; ensuring risks, assumptions, and edge cases are discussed early.
  • Identify quality gaps in process, tooling, test strategy, or collaboration, and turn them into actionable improvements.
  • Propose, lead, and deliver quality initiatives (e.g., risk-based testing, definition of test plans, automation improvements).
  • Own and continuously improve the team’s quality strategy, including test approach, coverage, and best practices.

Collaboration & Facilitation

  • Work closely with PM and developers in refinement, design discussions, and Three Amigos sessions.
  • Ensure quality is considered in every stage of the SDLC, from concept to release.
  • Facilitate test planning for epics, features, and releases.
  • Support developers in becoming stronger owners of their own testing activities.
  • Foster a culture of psychological safety and constructive feedback when discussing quality concerns.

Testing & Verification

  • Design and execute test plans and test charters for new features, complex flows, and high-risk areas.
  • Perform exploratory testing and help the team adopt structured techniques.
  • Collaborate with developers on unit/integration testing strategies.
  • (Nice to have) Contribute to E2E test automation, ideally with Cypress.
  • Help ensure the product is robust in real user scenarios, including integration points and on-prem environments.

Ownership & Accountability

  • Take responsibility for ensuring releases meet the agreed quality bar.
  • Drive documentation of quality learnings, risk registers, and regression strategies.
  • Proactively surface quality issues with clear problem statements and suggested solutions.
  • Track and communicate quality metrics to help guide decision-making (not vanity metrics).

What we’re looking for

Must Have

  • 5+ years experience in QA within modern software product teams.
  • Strong experience with exploratory testing, risk-based testing, and structured test design.
  • Proven ability to identify quality gaps, propose solutions, and lead improvements.
  • Hands-on experience with planning and executing test strategies for complex features.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building/maintaining E2E automation, preferably with Cypress.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and modern cloud/on-prem setups.
  • Familiarity with shift-left practices and agile product development.
