What You’ll Do:- Spearhead the design, development, and implementation of robust automation frameworks to ensure efficient and effective test automation across our products.
- Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive test plans, including functional, regression, and performance testing, to guarantee the highest quality standards.
- Act as the technical authority in QA methodologies, tools, and best practices, guiding the team toward continuous improvement and innovation.
- Conduct manual testing when necessary, diving into exploratory testing and edge case scenarios to identify potential issues and improve test coverage.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and stakeholders, to understand requirements, identify potential risks, and advocate for quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Mentor and coach team members on testing strategies, automation techniques, and QA processes, fostering a culture of quality and excellence.
- Take ownership of identifying and resolving complex technical challenges within the QA automation ecosystem, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Analyze and interpret test results and metrics, providing actionable insights to enhance product quality and drive informed decision-making.
- Contribute actively to agile ceremonies, such as sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, actively participating in the product development lifecycle.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in QA methodologies, leveraging this knowledge to continually improve our QA processes and tools.
- Collaborate in the creation and maintenance of documentation related to testing procedures, automation frameworks, and best practices for future reference and team alignment.
- Assist in testing customizations done as part of customer onboardings.
- 5+ years of experience working in a software engineering role on a product development team
- Proficiency in designing, implementing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks using tools like Selenium, Appium, AutomatePro, or similar technologies.
- Strong skills in manual testing techniques, capable of performing detailed exploratory testing and identifying edge cases.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or others for scripting and extending automation frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret test results, identify trends, and proactively address potential issues.
- Experience leading projects, mentoring peers, or helping your team shine, regardless of your official title
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure comprehensive test coverage and the identification of potential issues.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Dedication to advocating for and maintaining high-quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining detailed documentation for testing procedures, automation frameworks, and best practices.
- ServiceNow CSA, CIS, or CAD certifications are a plus.
