Mission and Goals 

We’re looking for a Senior Software QA Engineer to contribute to the quality, reliability, and performance of our Web Browser on Windows and Mac. In this role, you’ll help shape testing strategies, support automation efforts, collaborate across teams, and promote a strong culture of quality throughout the organization. 

Objectives 

  • Perform thorough manual testing to ensure product quality and support other testing efforts. 

  • Report, document, and clearly communicate findings and test results to the development team. 

  • Leverage AI-powered tools and techniques to enhance test coverage, detect anomalies, and optimize QA workflows. 

  • Provide a QA perspective early in the development lifecycle. Participate in product analysis and design discussions. 

  • Join planning and grooming meetings to align on priorities, clarify requirements, and estimate testing efforts. 

  • Identify opportunities for time-saving improvements in QA processes and contribute to their implementation. 

  • Execute automated test suites, analyze and report results, and ensure continuous feedback throughout the development process. 

  • Contribute to and maintain our Python-based test automation codebase and suggest potential areas for expanding automation coverage. 

  • Design and develop custom testing tools to support manual and automated testing efforts. 

  • Collaborate closely with international team members and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality releases. 

  • Advocate for test automation best practices and help drive a culture of quality across the team. 

Skills required 

  • Experience in QA area for at least 5 years 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Good knowledge of Python or another OOP language, ideally with experience in test automation frameworks (e.g. Python unittest, Selenium, Playwright) 

  • Proficiency in leveraging AI tools and automation to enhance testing efficiency and productivity 

  • Experience in testing Windows apps and modern websites 

  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. TeamCity, Jenkins) and Git version control system 

  • Solid understanding of various testing techniques (black box, white box, exploratory, regression, smoke, and integration testing) 

  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle 

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and browser developer tools 

  • Ability to work in an international team 

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently; takes pride in delivering high-quality work and celebrates team success 

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; active knowledge of English language
