The Role

If you are based, you will be joining our engineering team and be a valued member working closely in a collaborative, autonomous, cross-functional team. You will help with the following:

  • Gain a good understanding of mobile apps developed by engineering teams you work with. 
  • Help grow the community of excellence across our apps product development teams by advocating and influencing the best quality practices.
  • Work within your area to define quality outcomes and a roadmap to achieve them. 
  • Be able to write high quality code to create or enhance test frameworks. 
  • Actively consider key non-functional requirements for your area of work. 
  • Driving a self-organised agile team; accountable for your team’s delivery while promoting collaboration and transparency with stakeholders.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Good experience in organisations with a shift-left approach to quality. 
  • Good experience in mobile apps automation and human testing. 
  • Hands on experience in mobile test automation skills such as Android Espresso, Appium, XCUITest. 
  • Real-life experience of using TDD in native apps testing. 
  • Good experience of CI/CD pipelines and workflow for test types. 
  • Have practical experience with GitHub Actions and Team City. 
  • Have a good experience with Test Double. 
  • Have familiarity with cloud-based testing platforms like Applitools, SauceLabs, Firebase, AWS Device Farm or BrowserStack, etc 
  • Understand cloud-based microservices architecture (e.g. AWS) and associated challenges.
  • Have familiarity with monitoring and observability tooling like NewRelic or Grafana. 
  • You are a problem-solvers who can apply their skills to technical issues. 
  • Active learner to adapt new changes and tech changes in mobile apps. 
  • Know what good looks like, and how to get there - you are an experienced test expert who values the broad range of testing activities that together ensure quality in the product. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, relationship building, coaching, and influencing skills. 
  • Have the right attitude to challenge status quo and improve situation (continuous improvement and critical mind) 
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
