Senior QA Engineer (API Testing and Automation)

Software Requirements:

• Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar
• Proficiency in performance and load testing tools such as JMeter
• Familiarity with UI test automation tools like Playwright
• Experience with CI/CD tools and practices
• Knowledge of test management tools such as JIRA
• Experience with documentation tools like Confluence

Overall Responsibilities:

• API Testing: Perform functional and non-functional testing of APIs to ensure robustness and reliability
• Automation: Develop and maintain API automation tests using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools
• Performance Testing: Conduct performance and load testing using JMeter or equivalent tools
• UI Automation: Implement and maintain Playwright or similar UI test automation for web applications
• CI/CD Integration: Work with DevOps teams to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Test Management: Track test cases, test execution, and defects using JIRA
• Documentation: Maintain detailed test plans, strategies, and reports in Confluence

Technical Skills:

API Testing and Automation:

• Expertise in API testing, both functional and non-functional
• Experience with API automation tools like Postman, RestAssured, etc.

Performance and Load Testing:

• Proficiency in performance and load testing tools such as JMeter

UI Test Automation:

• Experience with UI automation tools like Playwright

CI/CD Integration:

• Knowledge of integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines

Test Management:

• Proficiency in tracking test cases, test execution, and defects using JIRA

Documentation:

• Experience in maintaining test plans, strategies, and reports in Confluence

Experience:

• Mid-Senior level experience as a QA Engineer
• 4+ years experience in API testing and automation
• Experience with performance and load testing
• Experience with UI test automation

Day-to-Day Activities:

• Perform functional and non-functional testing of APIs
• Develop and maintain API automation tests
• Conduct performance and load testing
• Implement and maintain UI test automation
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Track test cases, test execution, and defects
• Maintain detailed test documentation
• Collaborate with developers and DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployments

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Mid-Senior level experience in QA engineering
