OBJECTIVES
- As a QA Engineer at Amanotes, you will be responsible for the invisible backbone of our ecosystem — ensuring that our Internal Operations Systems (music pipeline, AI-driven creative workflows,… ) and our Game Facing System (asset delivery, game operation,…) perform in perfect harmony.
ABOUT THE POSITION
- We are looking for a QA Engineer who views quality through a holistic lens. By leveraging AI-driven automation, you will ensure our internal tools empower our team while our servers provide a low-latency, "always-on" experience for players globally.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Multi-Project Quality Oversight: Define and implement the QA strategy for multiple concurrent products, ensuring consistent quality standards.
- AI-Native Automation: Leverage Large Language Models (LLMs) to generate test scenarios, maintain self-healing scripts that don't break when the UI changes, and simulate realistic user behavior.
- Implement "Vibe Testing": Move beyond assert(button.text === "Submit") and Use AI tools (like ScoutQA, TestRigor, or custom agents)
- CI/CD Integration: Work closely with Developers and DevOps to bake automated tests into the deployment pipeline, enabling rapid, confident releases.
- Bug Lifecycle Management: Direct the flow of bug reporting, triaging, and verification, providing clear, actionable data to the engineer and product teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
- AI-Native QA Mindset: Experience using or implementing AI-assisted testing tools (e.g., ScoutQA, Mabl, Testim, or Playwright with AI plugins). You should know how to use AI to build self-healing test suites.
- Backend & API Mastery: Proficiency in testing RESTful APIs and WebSockets. You should be comfortable validating complex data flows between game servers and internal databases.
- Systemic Automation: Strong coding skills in Python, TypeScript, or C#. You don't just record scripts; you build scalable, modular automation frameworks.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Deep familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Sentry, Datadog, or ELK Stack) to trace "bad vibes" from the UI back to a specific server-side lag or database bottleneck.
- Agile Adaptability: Experience working in a fast-paced CI/CD environment where automated "Vibe Checks" are integrated into the deployment pipeline.
- Product Intuition: A track record of collaborating with Product Owners to define what "Quality" looks like beyond a technical spec—advocating for the user’s emotional experience.
NICE TO HAVE
- Music-Tech Context: A background in music production or audio engineering. You understand terms like buffer size, MIDI, jitter, and millisecond latency.
- Load & Stress Testing: Hands-on experience with tools like k6, Locust, or JMeter to simulate high-concurrency "peak hour" traffic for game servers.
- AI Agent Development: Experience using LLMs to write test cases or building custom scripts that use GPT-4/Claude to "audit" internal tool UI for UX inconsistencies.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Basic knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform—enough to spin up a staging environment for a quick "vibe check.
- "Game Engine Familiarity: Experience with Unity or Unreal Engine (even if testing the backend), understanding how game clients communicate with internal operational systems.
