This role is full-time and offers home working flexibility.
Your future tasks will include
- Leading the design, development, and maintenance of automated test frameworks and suites.
- Ensuring automation coverage across UI, API, and integration layers.
- Collaborating with developers to ensure coverage on service, component layers.
- Collaborating with developers, QAs, and DevOps to embed test automation in CI/CD pipelines.
- Reviewing test strategies and mentoring team members on automation best practices.
- Analyzing test results, identifying bottlenecks, and driving continuous improvements in QA processes.
- Taking ownership of automation architecture decisions and influencing the overall quality strategy.
You’re going to need this to be successful in this role
- Solid programming skills (e.g., Javascript/TS, Python, Java, or C#) for automation development.
- Proven experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Appium, REST-assured).
- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test design, and QA best practices.
- Hands-on experience integrating test automation into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., BitBucket, GitHub Actions, Jenkins etc).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Ability to design scalable test strategies for complex systems (microservices, distributed apps, or multi-platform products).
- Strong analytical skills with a detail-oriented and quality-first mindset.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence and mentor.
It’s nice if you also have
- Experience with performance, security, or reliability testing.
- Exposure to monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, Sentry, Kibana).
- Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and testing strategies (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Contribution to open-source testing tools or frameworks.
- Prior experience as tech lead or in coaching QA and Automation teams.
