This role is a flex office/home role. You will be expected to work 20% of working days per month (4 days per month on average) in our office located in Dublin, Ohio. Applicants must be local (within 35 miles) to Dublin, Ohio.
YOUR ROLE
Contribute significantly to our automation initiatives, ensuring our software meets high standards of quality and reliability through effective automation strategies. Your technical acumen, problem-solving abilities, and automation skills will be instrumental in achieving these objectives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Partner on automation projects for a distributed team, collaborating closely with team members to align automation goals with software development objectives.
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites covering UI, service layers, etc., supporting integration across repositories.
  • Plan, design, deploy, maintain, execute, and troubleshoot automation frameworks exercising cross-browser, service layer, and mobile responsiveness.
  • Adopt agile practices within the automation development process.
  • Validate integrations with external partners for seamless interoperability.
  • Partner with TechOps to add and maintain test automation within CI/CD pipelines for deployment and release verification.
  • Maintain documentation of automation frameworks, test cases, and processes. Provide reports on test coverage, run results, automation effectiveness, and project progress.
  • Mentor team members on automation best practices, coding standards, and automation tool usage promoting continuous learning.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.


SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years building automated solutions for scalable applications and integrated systems.
  • Proficiency implementing automation frameworks leveraging Cypress / JavaScript and open-source technologies such as Linux, Git, and AWS.
  • Strong understanding of microservice architecture and modern development environments to design and deploy automation frameworks that test distributed systems, validating individual services and their interactions.
  • Experience configuring automation in CI/CD pipeline for build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Strong familiarity with MVC architecture and designing tests to validate data integrity (Model), user interface (View), and business logic (Controller).


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time, (up to 8 hours per day) at a desk working on a computer.
  • Must be able to use standard office equipment for extended periods of time, including but not limited to, a mouse, keyboard, phone and video conferencing.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to access and navigate the corporate office.

The national salary range for this role is $92,400 to $133,300. The expected starting salary range for this role at Bold Penguin is $119,700 to $128,000.
