The Exacom Logging Recorder team is responsible for Motorola Solutions’ cloud-native logging platforms, real-time voice and radio recording engines, and AI-assisted analytics software leveraged in public safety, defense, and critical infrastructure applications worldwide.
Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Engineer to support quality assurance activities across the software development lifecycle for our enterprise multimedia solutions. The ideal candidate will bring solid hands-on experience in test automation, software testing methodologies, and defect tracking while helping ensure the delivery of scalable, reliable, and high-quality software products. This individual will work closely with developers, product managers, and fellow QA engineers to execute test plans, expand automated test coverage, and contribute to continuous improvement in our testing processes.
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test cases and test suites across functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.

  • Maintain and expand automated test scripts and frameworks to increase test coverage and efficiency.

  • Apply QA best practices to support software quality, testing efficiency, and reliable product releases.

  • Collaborate closely with software engineers and product managers to understand requirements and define clear test plans.

  • Identify, log, and troubleshoot defects, working with engineering teams to track issues through to resolution.

  • Support the integration of automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.

  • Participate in test reviews and contribute to clean, maintainable automation code and documentation.

  • Work alongside team members to share knowledge and contribute to a culture of continuous learning.

  • Assist in evaluating new QA tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance team testing capabilities.

  • Contribute to process improvements that help streamline day-to-day QA workflows.


Basic Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent practical experience will also be considered.

  • 4+ years of professional experience in software testing and quality assurance.

  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools and frameworks (such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, or TestNG).

  • Familiarity with running automated tests within CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions).

  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Java).

  • Experience testing complex web applications or distributed software systems.

  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and software QA practices.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience with performance or load testing tools (such as JMeter, K6, or LoadRunner).

  • Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (such as Jira or TestRail).

  • Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

  • Familiarity with multimedia technologies, audio/video streaming, VoIP, RoIP, or SIP protocols.

  • Basic experience with containerization (Docker) and modern DevOps workflows.
