Overall Objective of the Role
We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join our engineering team responsible for building and maintaining cutting-edge network intelligence products. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software by designing and implementing automated test frameworks for both frontend and backend systems running in containerized environments on Kubernetes. If you’re passionate about Python, automation frameworks, and continuous testing in modern DevOps environments we’d love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworksand test cases using Python (pytest) and Playwright for UI and API testing.
- Integrate test automation with Jenkins pipelinesfor CI/CD, ensuring automated test execution as part of deployment workflows.
- Collaborate closely with developers to define test strategies, code-level testing, and verification steps for backend microservices (Python-based) and React-based UI components.
- Create and manage test environments within Kubernetes; work with containerized applications (Docker) to validate deployments.
- Contribute to end-to-end testingacross backend APIs, data processing pipelines, and frontend UIs.
- Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with the development team to ensure quick resolution.
- Participate in design and code reviews to ensure quality and testability.
- Support performance, scalability, and reliability testing for microservices and distributed systems.
- Continuously improve test coverage, speed, and reliability through framework enhancements and test optimization.
Requirements
Must Have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3 years of experience in test automation or software development, with solid hands-on experience in Python.
- Strong experience with pytestand any of Playwright / RobotFramework / other frameworks for test automation (UI + API).
- Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines(Jenkins preferred).
- Experience with Dockerand Kubernetes, understanding how to test containerized applications.
- Familiarity with frontend testing(React/TypeScript) and backend testing (REST APIs, data-driven tests).
- Solid understanding of QA principles, test planning, and defect lifecycle management.
Nice to Have:
- Experience testing microservicesand distributed systems in cloud-native environments.
- Exposure to FastAPI, SQL/NoSQL databases, or similar backend frameworks.
- Experience with GitOps/DevOps tools(Helm, ArgoCD, etc.).
- Familiarity with performance testing toolsand monitoring frameworks.
- Knowledge of React component testingand frontend debugging tools.
- Any QA certification.
