The Role

The Opioid Epidemic is a public health crisis with a highly effective but underutilized clinical intervention - millions of Americans are physically dependent on Opioids but only 10% of those likely to have OUD actually access treatment. Bicycle Health addresses this gap by maximizing accessibility, affordability, and overall quality of care by enabling highly qualified clinicians to reach patients broadly and efficiently through our online platform.

The Senior Grant Writer is responsible for leading the end-to-end development of proposals in response to RFPs from local, state, and federal government agencies. This role is central to advancing Bicycle Health’s strategic growth by securing contracts to deliver telehealth-based behavioral health and opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment services in correctional settings, including jails, prisons, and reentry programs.

Location: Remote

Schedule: Full time (40 hrs)

Target Pay Range: $80,000-$95,000/per year-  Compensation to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

Benefits:

  • Discretionary PTO + 8.5 days of additional sick time + 10 paid holidays
  • Paid parental leave
  • 100% Employer Paid Employee Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Employer Paid STD & LTD
  • 401k
  • $50 monthly Remote Work Stipend

You can expect to:

  • Lead the end-to-end proposal process, including RFP analysis, content development, cross-functional collaboration, and timely submission
  • Write and edit persuasive, compliant, and high-quality proposal responses that address specific RFP requirements and highlight Bicycle Health’s unique value
  • Partner with internal teams (clinical, legal, finance, operations) to gather input and craft tailored, strategic responses
  • Maintain and improve a centralized content library, including reusable templates and standard narrative components
  • Track proposal metrics and apply feedback from reviews and outcomes to strengthen future submissions
  • Monitor industry trends and identify new RFP opportunities related to correctional and government healthcare contracts
  • Ensure all deliverables are submitted in compliance with format, deadline, and technical requirements outlined in each RFP.
  • Manage all other duties as assigned related to RFP opportunities and submissions.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Qualities we're looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience writing proposals for government healthcare contracts
  • Direct experience writing proposals for correctional healthcare services (required)
  • Deep understanding of government RFP processes and procurement standards at the local level
  • Preferred experience developing grant application responses at the state and federal level
  • Preferred experience with behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, or medications for addiction treatment (MAT)
  • Preferred familiarity with telehealth delivery models
  • Preferred experience working in a startup or high-growth healthcare organization
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex services into compelling, accessible language
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously

What We Do

There’s a moment you realize that you can’t continue like this. You want better days, better relationships, and more possibilities.

When you’re in the depths of opioid use disorder (OUD), it takes strength and courage to act on that moment. At Bicycle Health, we believe that choosing to start recovery creates hope in the face of hardship.

With us, your care begins as soon as you reach out. Most patients get an appointment on the same day or the day after. Our personalized care and medication plans offer professional support and suboxone to control withdrawal. On your best days and your worst days, we’re always here for you.

About 95% of patients end problematic opioid use within just one week. And 88% of patients who have been in care with us for a year or more see positive outcomes including easier days, steady employment, and healthier relationships.

No one does this alone. Our community of doctors, care providers, and support groups are available every day. With regular check-ins, we’ll work with you to update your care as you make progress.

We know that with the right treatment, you can overcome OUD and build a life you lov
