Senior Proposal Engineer (Solutions)

Job Description

As a Senior Proposal Engineer specializing in Solutions, you will be at the forefront of the bidding process for intricate projects encompassing IT services, solutions, and design or manufacturing services.

Your role involves project management from the initial client interaction through contract finalization, placing a particular emphasis on defining trading terms.

You will play a pivotal role in validating and endorsing technical solutions, and at the highest authority levels, you will be responsible for approving bids and proposals.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Generation of Techno-commercial proposals which are accurate, cost effective and address specific customer needs.
• Review of the customer inquiries/RFQ documents, attend customer scope meetings and identify problem statements and customer requirements.
• Create superior technical solutions – in-line with the project specifications and ensure proposals are commercially viable and competitive while mitigating and managing risk.
• Responsible for the compliance with the bid requirements.
• Define supply needs to supply chain/procurement to support the opportunities
• Taking fully responsibility of the assigned proposals , from initial contact through contract signing, working in close relationship with regional sales team.
• Ensure timely response to the inquiries and quick turn-around for the proposals.
• Coordinate with Contracts and Negotiations and internal Finance and controls to address the project contractual needs during the bidding phase, all the way to the final contract closure.
• Facilitate establishment of agreed Terms of Service with new clients
• Validation and endorsement of technical solutions
• Demonstrate the ability to expand the scope of services requested by incorporating the full portfolio of Sensia’s Process Automation offerings.
• Facilitate commercial reviews for approvals at the required levels.
• Provide regular feedback on activity status to the regional commercial leads and ensure timely data updates in the proposal managemnet system.

The Individual

• Strong knowledge and experience on SCADA, DCS, SIS and industrial networks and communication protocols and standards.
• Good understanding of Oil & Gas facilities process is an advantage.
• Extensive experience in selecting and designing process control systems for diverse O&G facilities.
• Experience in working with EPCs and end users to define project requirements and design for the ICSS solutions for both greenfield and brownfield projects.
• Full understating for FEL estimates. Fully understand the upgrade, expansion, continuous improvement, life cycle, and preventive maintenance of automation infrastructure.
• Comprehensive knowledge of various stages of the project lifecycle such as FEED, tendering, proposal, designing, engineering, procurement, execution, implementation, testing, construction & commissioning
• Hands on working experience on both hardware & software design and selection.
• Capability to architect complex Process automation and Process safety solutions
• Comprehensive knowledge of electrical engineering principles, code of practices and control loop system philosophy.
• Strong analytical, management, communication, and organizational skills (FF, Profibus PA, Wireless HART).
