JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Prop Stylist for Brand Licensing is responsible for styling studio sets for packaging and marketing photo shoots for our BHG Collection with Walmart. Shoots will feature home and garden products across outdoor and indoor furniture, home decor soft goods, tableware, bedding, bath and more. The Senior Prop Stylist will collaborate with a crossfunctional creative team to deliver high-quality still photography and video. The person in this role will be expected to stay on top of home decor trends to ensure that the work being produced feels timely and current, reflects positively on the larger brand, and matches our style positioning.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Weight % Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Results
70% Styling/Production:
On-set styling and production in the DDM Des Moines photo studio. Shooting will average three weeks per month and the Senior Prop Stylist will be an integral member of the team.
Responsible for reviewing pre-pro direction, pulling products and staging vignettes for photographers, art director, creative services manager, etc.
Learn existing best practices, category style guides and help evolve styling to deliver on expectations.
20% Planning:
Non-shooting weeks will be used for prep work and collaboration with the team on other projects.
Support Creative Services team with additional ad-hoc marketing photo shoot efforts.
10% Misc. Business Support:
Attend weekly team planning meetings.
Utilization of team systems and tools inclusive of Airtable, Basecamp, Google Suite, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Associate degree or comparable work experience (6+ years in related field)
Computer skills in Google Suite in order to follow preproduction documents
Familiarity with Basecamp and Airtable is a bonus.
EXPERIENCE
This is a creative position that will require a visual portfolio of past related content work demonstrating a strong eye for design and on-camera composition.
A general knowledge of interior design and photography will be needed to collaborate with photographers and art directors.
