Position Summary:

We are seeking a Prompt Specialist who bridges the gap between creative instruction and technical implementation. While this is not a software engineering role, the ideal candidate must have a "technical-adjacent" mindset—someone who can write sophisticated prompts while understanding the API environments where those prompts live.
Key Responsibilities

• Prompt Architecture: Design, test, and optimize high-complexity prompts using techniques like Chain-of-Thought and Few-Shot prompting.
• Behavioral Guardrails: Create system-level instructions that enforce safety, brand voice, and factual accuracy.
• Integration Testing: Use API testing tools to verify how prompts perform when triggered by external systems.
• Data Formatting: Ensure prompts consistently produce outputs that align with technical requirements (e.g., ensuring an LLM always outputs valid text that a script can parse).

Required Skills & Qualifications
Note: While you will not be building the application, you must be comfortable working within a technical environment.

• REST API Fundamentals: Understanding of how APIs work (Requests/Responses, Headers, Authentication). You should be comfortable testing prompts in tools like Postman or an LLM "Playground" (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.).
• Basic JavaScripting: Ability to read and write basic JavaScript. You should be able to write simple logic to manipulate strings, format prompt variables, or parse a response.
• Model Parameter Mastery: Deep understanding of how technical settings like Temperature, Top-P, and Max Tokens impact prompt performance.
• Data Structures: Familiarity with JSON format—specifically how to prompt an LLM to generate a valid JSON object without syntax errors.
• Markdown & Delimiters: Expert-level use of Markdown, XML, or JSON-style tagging to give the LLM clear structural cues.

Behavioral & Professional Competencies

• Linguistic Precision: An obsessive eye for detail in language; the ability to remove ambiguity from instructions.
• Logical Troubleshooting: A systematic approach to “debugging” a prompt when the AI provides an unexpected or poor-quality answer.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Ability to speak “Developer”when discussing API errors and “Business” when discussing brand tone.

Success Metrics

• Reliability: Prompts consistently produce the expected output across hundreds of test cases.
• Integration Readiness: Prompts generate responses that are "clean" and ready for a JavaScript frontend or a database to ingest.
• Prompt Efficiency: Minimizing token usage (cost) while maximizing response quality.
