Senior Project Manager

Introduction

As an AIS Senior Project Manager, you will use a combination of technical capabilities, a consultancy mindset, and Agile process methodologies to manage projects and deliver solutions to the client. Senior Project Managers are responsible for managing projects in ways that model delivery excellence by meeting contractual obligations, managing risk, promoting client satisfaction, realizing profitability targets, and complying with AIS project management standards and processes.

This is a proposal-based position; employment is contingent upon contract award and funding availability.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Successfully execute project plans, track deliverables, and document client acceptance of deliverables for multiple projects following AIS' Project Management approach.
• Identify, report, and effectively respond to risks to delivery excellence, customer satisfaction, and employee satisfaction.
• Maintain situational awareness of day-to-day project activities, serving as the first escalation point for the client and keep Client Services Managers along with AIS Sellers informed as needed to support a coordinated response in serving the client.
• Build positive relationships with our delivery teams, clients, and AIS employees.
• Coach and mentor the project team members as needed to deliver successfully and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Provide management and guidance to ensure delivery teams meet all contractual obligations (scope, requirements, SLAs), including producing acceptable deliverables, being respectful of deadlines and budgets, and mitigating and/or managing risks.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience, where you have demonstrated success of meeting contractual obligations, managing risk, promoting client satisfaction, realizing profitability targets, supporting team morale, and complying with project management standards and processes.
• Experience delivering software, data, infrastructure and/or cloud technology projects.
• Excel in overcoming delivery challenges, building relationships with clients, and meeting or exceeding client expectations.
• Working knowledge of Agile software methodologies.
• Understand technology-related issues and how they might impact successful delivery.

Location:

This is a remote role with occasional travel to Martinsburg, WV and Washington, D.C.

Citizenship and Clearance Requirements:

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance with U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred Experience:

• Project Management Certification.
• Certified Scrum Master.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure.
• Previous hands-on technical experience is a plus.
