Senior Project Manager

As a Senior Project Manager with Appnovation, you’ll be responsible for managing multi-functional teams in the business of consulting, designing, developing, training and supporting digital transformation and digital marketing solutions for our clients around the world!

• Lead and manage multiple complex projects concurrently.

• Work closely with strategists, developers, architects, product managers, designers, and client representatives to define direction, approach, and requirements for project managing discovery, design, and execution.

• Participate in the pre-sales process, including opportunity management, overseeing and running pre-sales teams to create responses to RFPs, estimates, and more.

• Manage project budgets and maintain costs to remain within or under budget.

• Analyze profitability, revenue, margins, and utilization across projects.

• Determine project schedules, create detailed project plans and scope statements, and write status reports for each stage of the project.

• Estimate and track project costs, develop resource plans, and assess potential issues and risks.

• Define project management policies and ensure their implementation in all project stages.

• Develop impact assessments, statements of work, and other project documentation.

• Grow long-term relationships with clients and capitalize on “add-on” sales opportunities, while constantly seeking out new opportunities with existing clients.

• Provide leadership and guidance to all members of the project team and other Delivery team members.

• Identify and provide recommendations for process improvement in project delivery.

• First and foremost, you are passionate about new technology, incredible with clients, and widely recognized for the depth of your Project Management skills.

• 10+ years of Project Management experience in a digital agency, professional services, or consulting environment, with a focus on managing large client-facing project teams and budgets.

• Comfortable working with clients and discussing technical and business requirements.

• Business analysis and requirements management experience is an asset.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills, and able to communicate project details effectively.

• Able to estimate project costs, set deadlines, and effectively manage teams of professionals to meet those deadlines.

• Experience managing projects with substantial logistics, complexity, and budgets in excess of $1M.

• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills with the proven ability to effectively communicate across different levels of the organization.

• EST time zone location, located in or close to Toronto.

• An excellent working background with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

• A technical background with a solid understanding of, or hands-on experience with, software engineering, including experience in mobile development, web development, or multi-tech platform implementation is an asset.

• Understanding of client business requirements, and the ability to present them in a form which is comprehensible to business users and technical professionals.

• Fundamentally driven by ensuring good process and able to adapt different approaches and methodologies.

• Exceptional planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Able and keen to work in a very fast-paced, growth environment.

• Interested in directly influencing the continued growth of Appnovation.

• Project Management and/or Scrum Master certifications are a plus.
