This project is a key part of our broader mission to empower enterprises, financial institutions, and decentralized applications with innovative solutions for the digital economy.

The Role
As Senior Project Manager, you will drive the planning and execution cycle for technical delivery in R3’s Digital Asset business. Reporting into our COO, you will work in partnership with our engineering, product management and QA leaders to drive successful delivery of our key software releases and programs to deliver against those plans.  
 
You will set the rhythm for our business and work closely with our CPTO and the rest of the leadership team. You will put together annual plans, covering projected deliveries and planned hiring, and will ensure that is synchronized with the rest of R3 (Sales, Marketing. Professional Services etc).   

The successful candidate will be a hands on Project Manager thriving in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment with competing priorities. You will need to anticipate future needs based on your experience, putting in place necessary processes without becoming overly rigid or attached to trends.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the annual planning process: Cover product deliveries, spend, and hiring with a Drive quarterly planning: Develop detailed plans for the next quarter and ensure their execution. 
  • Monitor and adapt plans: Track progress against plans and make necessary adjustments to reflect actual deliveries, spend, and hiring. 
  • Report progress: Report regular progress against KPIs, communicate openly and honestly with the senior leaders on progress and any issues or concerns, as well as your plan to rectify.  
  • Lead project delivery: Take charge of delivering complex projects and software releases, from initial vision to completion, taking ownership for solving delivery challenges on the way. Actively participate in and drive engineering delivery tasks. 
  • Work in close partnership with their Engineering teams to drive coordinated releases, identify issues and blockers and identify and implement mitigations, escalating where needed to ensure senior leaders are aware of deviations and have an opportunity to make different priority calls (recommend solutions and provide alternatives).
  • Apply industry best practices: Use appropriate project management techniques to balance formality and agility. 
  • Contribute to tactical planning: Support departments and groups in realizing their strategic objectives through effective project delivery. 
  • Influence project delivery maturity: Execute well-considered and researched proposals to enhance project delivery. 
  • Communicate effectively: Engage with executive and division heads, tailoring communication to the audience. 
  • Identify efficiency opportunities: Continuously seek and implement process improvements.

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in enterprise software or related software product companies. 
  • 10+ years of experience in Project and Program Management or related role. 
  • Knowledge of enterprise application development market and products with an appreciation of operational practices, business functionalities and competitive landscape. 
  • Experience and proven success in delivering software products to market in an agile software development environment. 
  • Knowledge of crypto industry/markets, financial markets and financial market infrastructure.
