The Role  

As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead teams to deliver projects that span across multiple business units - including a dual portfolio of product category innovation initiatives and regional market expansion projects - and ensure successful and on-time project delivery.  You will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of your projects, including managing resources, schedules, financials, issues & risks, and for the adherence to stage-gate principles.  You will also contribute to process improvement initiatives as they relate to improving project delivery.   


Essential functions:  

  • Own the full project life cycle - successful project delivery will include full implementation from initiation to launch for multiple initiatives simultaneously 
  • Manage all aspects of multiple related projects to ensure the overall program is aligned to and directly supports the achievement of strategic objectives 
  • Lead project teams by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhere to their responsibilities and execute project milestones 
  • Monitor and report on project success criteria results as well as portfolio performance metrics 
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence 
  • Participate in establishing practices, processes, tools, and partnerships to expand and mature the PM capabilities for the organization 
  • Demonstrate an acumen of your markets' operations and your categories’ technical aspects to support how solutions will address project goals  
  • Oversee the risk management and contingency planning process  
  • Develop and deliver appropriate and effective progress reports, proposals, and presentations to various audiences including project team, sponsors, executive leadership, and key stakeholders 
  • Continue professional development to keep abreast of emerging industry trends and technologies, and PM methods and best practices 
  • Ensure that your team is equipped with the right resources and tools to stay motivated, accountable and highly engaged through direction, mentorship and recognition. 

 

Safety & Compliance:  

  • Be aware of hazards in the workspace. 
  • Retain and understand department specific training. 
  • Report safety incidents/ concerns and comply with follow-up actions. 
  • Be compliant with area safety requirements, state regulations and PPE requirements. 
  • Follow GMP, biosecurity, sanitation or other quality and compliance requirements. 
  • Perform record keeping accurately and completely as directed by a lead or supervisor. 
  • Report and escalate safety & quality concerns. 

 

Working Conditions 

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. 
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing, and challenging environment 
  • Work involves occasional exposure to allergens (such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil).  

 

Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of project management in management consulting, operations, manufacturing, and/or high growth startup environment 
  • Experience leading, motivating, and managing various project and program team sizes, including internal and external resources, while holding team accountable for performance 
  • Proven success in leading projects and programs to on-time and within budget close  
  • Advanced proficiency with project management tools including Microsoft Suite, MS Project, and other PM software 
  • Self-motivated, decisive, innovative, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands 
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills – an analytical, innovative, and creative mindset 
  • High degree of emotional intelligence to effectively deal with increasingly diverse clients and teams 
  • Operates with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information 

 

 

Additional Requirements 

  • Must be at a minimum of 21 years of age. 
  • Must possess valid state ID. 
  • Must be able to obtain, and maintain, state badging requirements to work in the cannabis industry (requires background check and state review)
