The Sr. Project Manager will join the King's Hawaiian Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) to lead multi-functional projects within King's Hawaiians' Operations. The EPMO will deliver the company's key growth and expansion initiatives. As a member of this team, you will collaborate with stakeholders, and key partners to deliver these projects to defined scope, schedule, and budget.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead successful project delivery within agreed upon scope, schedule, quality, budget, and resources.
  • Function as main liaison between the EPMO, service providers, vendors and business partners.
  • Plan and track project milestones, work breakdown structure, tasks, timelines, work progress, budget, changes, and allocation of internal and external resources.
  • Perform risk assessment, response planning, creation of mitigation strategies, and partner concern of issues.
  • Capture changes to the project scope, schedule, budget, and resources for input into processes.
  • Run regular project status meetings to clearly prioritize tasks for teams, ensuring all project health metrics and key performance indicators are accurate and detailed.
  • Communicate project information and build relationships with the EPMO, project partners, multi-functional departments, external agencies, and outside vendors using executive reports.
  • Facilitate transition of completed projects to the business and run postmortems.
  • Lead multiple concurrent projects of varying size, timing and scope.
  • Work with the project sponsor to establish project charters by defining commercialization project objectives, scope, teams, budget & success metrics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Marketing, and Manufacturing to develop detailed launch plans and critical path timelines
  • Establish a project culture of partnership and collaboration with the various cross-functional teams
  • Build relationships and engagement with stakeholders and external parties
  • Understand and coordinate critical dependencies across functions to manage critical path timeline and risks.
  • Account for required approvals of key components throughout the project lifecycle
  • Plan and complete project meetings with clearly defined agenda and objectives, detailed notes, defined follow-ups and practical takeaways.
  • Monitor project progress and hold teams accountable to key activities and timelines
  • Anticipate potential risks and provide mitigation recommendations
  • Rapidly identify project issues/delays that arise and work with teams to propose and implement resolutions
  • Facilitate the decision-making process on all projects with functional teams and leadership
  • Assist all departments on budget development
  • Manage project budgets of various sizes including expense vs. capital >$50MM
  • Provide insight into project progress against key turning points and communicate progress and results to leadership
  • Support in the development of full-launch business cases to outline the justification and requirements for new projects, launches, installations, etc.
  • Provide reinforcement and continual improvement of the King's Hawaiian's operations processes
  • Assist in final project cost/PO reconciliation with individual department controllers
  • Gain formal approval from stakeholders that the project has been successfully completed


Skills/Experience:

  • Project Management Institute (PMI) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred with proficiency to employ traditional, agile and hybrid project management methodologies required
  • Bachelor's Degree from a major accredited university required
  • 5-8 years of project management experience in a manufacturing setting required with large scale project budgets >$50MM preferred
  • Professional working proficiency in Microsoft Project with High Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint with knowledge of top project management tools within the industry
  • Highly proficient in budget management including contracts, RFPs, bidding, cash flow analysis, financial forecasting, invoicing and purchase requisition creation & tracking
  • Ability to lead while optimally driving large teams and building collaborative relationships
  • Proficient oral, written and presentation capabilities adapted to communicate to executive, business, and engineering team audiences clearly and concisely
  • Able to abide by EPMO methodology even when faced with strong opposition
  • Ability to maintain composure in high stress situations and ability to communicate clearly at all levels, multitask and pivot in a fast-paced environment
  • Skilled in time management, prioritization and delegation
  • Adept at identifying and resolving project challenges in a timely and efficient manner
