Position Title: Senior Project Manager
Location: Mc Lean, VA, (occasional support at FHWA HQ, Washington, DC)
Clearance required: Unclassified. Requires USDOT badge and favorable National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI, low risk / non-sensitive); E-Verify required
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Provide overall management of complex, high-visibility projects and a portfolio of tasks in a busy research communications and publishing office.
- Perform strategic planning, resource allocation, and direct coordination with Government Contracting Officers (COs), Contracting Officer's Representatives (CORs), Task Managers, and Researchers.
- Ensure all deliverables are met on schedule and within budget while managing risk and performance metrics.
- Ensure staff update the RD&T submission and project tracking system so customers can see the status of their projects.
- Provide total supervision of contractor staff, assign tasks, mentor personnel, and serve as the primary point of contact to the COR.
- Master's Degree, or a Bachelor's Degree with relevant experience, in Business, Marketing/Communications, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience, including leadership of multidisciplinary teams and managing marketing and communications.
- Experience supervising the publication of technical information from concept to final product, from one-page flyers to 300+ page technical reports, presentations, videos, online tours, social media, and other communications collateral.
Skills Required
- Master's degree in Business, Marketing/Communications, or a related technical discipline
- Bachelor's degree with relevant experience in Business, Marketing/Communications, or a related technical discipline
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams
- Experience managing marketing and communications
- Experience supervising publication of technical information from concept to final product
- Experience producing communications collateral including technical reports, presentations, videos, online tours, social media, and flyers
- Ability to obtain a USDOT badge and favorable NACI determination
- E-Verify eligibility
