Overview

Wuxi Biology-US is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Project Manager to coordinate and lead project management team and support business development activities. This role will collaborate closely with the internal scientific leaders, the business development team and clients to propose research service quotations, manage client relationships and project workflows, collect and analyze business data, and contribute to the company’s business development and strategic planning. The ideal candidate will also work alongside senior management, R&D group leaders, BD, legal, finance, marketing, and logistics teams to provide comprehensive project and business management and ensure high-quality research services to the clients.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the project management activities, including addressing clients’ inquiries, preparing research proposals and quotes, negotiating and establishing business contracts, and facilitating the project related communication during the delivery.
  • Manage client interactions to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and long-term collaboration.

  • Coordinate with various functional areas to ensure the delivery of high-quality research services.
  • Update and maintain project timelines and track all deliverables. Monitor project work orders and initiate change orders as needed.
  • Support business development team to identify and pursue business opportunities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, legal, finance, marketing, and logistics teams to provide strong support for day-to-day operations.
  • Work with global project management team, develop and maintain the business database, generate business insights from the data analysis.
  • Lead, develop and mentor assigned team members, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in life sciences, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industries. Minimum of 1 year of experience in project management and business development. Previous people management experience is preferred.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of drug discovery and development processes, particularly in preclinical research and CRO environments.
  • Client & Contract Management: Proven experience in managing client relationships, preparing quotations, and negotiating contracts.
  • Team Management: Experience with fostering relationships with team members and clients.

  • Self-Motivation & Organization: Highly self-motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to follow-through.
  • Communication & Presentation: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities; able to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in all interactions. Fluent in Chinese is a plus.
  • Teamwork & Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in team settings and build strong collaborative relationships with management, R&D leaders, and the BD team from diverse backgrounds to deliver optimal client solutions.
  • Prioritization & Independence: Proven ability to prioritize tasks, multitask efficiently, and work effectively with minimal supervision.
  • Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Capable of handling challenging situations and developing solutions that drive business success; Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with CRM/Salesforce tools is a plus.
  • Travel Flexibility: Willingness and ability to travel for client visits, conferences, and meetings.

Physical Requirements:  

  • Must be able to work in an onsite office environment.
  • Ability to stand /sit/walk for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to perform some activities with repetitive motion, such as keyboarding.
  • Must be able to travel for long distances in various methods of transportation (e.g. car, airplane, shuttle bus, train, etc.)
  • Must be able to navigate to and from site locations, hotel, and airports with personal luggage and laptop.
  • Must be able to work in environment with variable noise levels.

 

Anticipated salary range: $88,682 to $115,464
