We are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager with extensive field experience to manage and oversee large-scale commercial landscape projects, including site development projects from inception through completion. Responsibilities:

  • Reports directly to the Operations Manager. 
  • Understand and uncover customer’s “points of pain” and develop solutions. 
  • Build and maintain trust-based professional relationships with Clients, Employees and Subcontractors. 
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and operate with a high sense of urgency. 
  • Responsible for working well with the operations team members, leveraging their expertise with yours. 
  • Responsible for the construction team. 
  • Ensure that all construction services are delivered according to contract specifications, on budget, schedule and with a high standard of quality. 
  • Manage cost reports, analyzing budget variances, recommend and develop strategies to lower project costs, reviewing labor quantities and phases to facilitate accurate project tracking. 
  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly job billings. 
  • Prepare change orders as necessary and obtain the required documentation from the client to bill in a timely manor. 
  • Serve as the main point of contact and trusted advisor to customer on project installation issues. 
  • Gather and analyze customer needs and interests, building strong business relationships and providing solutions to challenges. 
  • Provide customers with clear and easy to understand information pertaining to all of our high-quality products and services. 
  • Demonstrate role model behaviors on ethics and integrity as well as positively promote Company culture. 
  • Deliver timely and accurate reports, financials, schedules and budgets on a regular basis. 
  • Inspect all field work; analyze and resolve problems. 
  • Manage labor force & subcontractors to ensure labor budgets are on track. 
  • Maintain accurate daily and weekly Foremen and Superintendent activity logs, updating production tracking reports and generating other related reports as needed. 
  • Oversee the dispatching of labor and equipment to job sites. 
  • Manage equipment utilization on projects, equipment storage and maintenance. 
  • Ensure that all construction services are delivered according to contract specifications & drawings, are within budget and on schedule. 
  • Represent the company, interfacing and build relationships with owners, clients, architects, general contractors and subcontractors. Oversee and manage large-scale commercial landscape construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop and execute project plans, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Supervise and mentor project teams, including field staff and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Review and approve project schedules, budgets, and change orders.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address challenges, and implement solutions.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and foster future business opportunities.
  • Identify and mitigate risks to ensure project success.
  • Prepare and present project reports to senior management.
  • Ensure that employees are both results oriented and operating as a team. 
  • Prepare and participate in Quarterly or Monthly WIP process. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet the needs of Oakridge Landscape.

Requirements

Qualifications: 

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the landscape or construction industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale commercial landscape projects.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Knowledge of landscape construction processes, materials, and best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, landscape architecture, or a related field (preferred but not required).
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Standing periodically throughout the day 
  • Sitting and standing as needed 
  • Walking as needed in order to meet with clients at various locations 
  • Repetitive motion, Keyboard data entry, telephone use, driving a vehicle 
  • Visually able to read, view computer monitors with or without corrective devices 
  • Auditory, able to hear and speak on the phone as required to meet job expectations.
