Job Description:

Parsons has an exciting career opportunity for an amazingly talented Senior Project Manager to join our team!

The Manager shall work with a client to:

  • Protect passenger and employee safety through effective maintenance oversight.
  • Improve equipment reliability and availability.
  • Verify contractor compliance with contract requirements and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Monitor maintenance quality, response times, and equipment performance.
  • Support lifecycle asset management and capital planning.
  • Assist with contract administration, technical reviews, and dispute resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and accessibility requirements.

Perform Contract Management Support

  • Review contractor compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Evaluate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Review staffing plans and technician qualifications.
  • Verify adherence to maintenance schedules.
  • Review invoices, work orders, and supporting documentation.
  • Evaluate change orders and contract modifications.
  • Provide recommendations regarding contract performance.

Maintenance Oversight

  • Conduct routine and unannounced field inspections.
  • Observe preventive maintenance activities.
  • Verify corrective maintenance work.
  • Confirm proper documentation of completed work.
  • Review equipment shutdowns and restoration activities.
  • Verify compliance with maintenance procedures and manufacturer recommendations.

Performance Monitoring

  • Review emergency shutdown procedures.
  • Support accident and incident investigations involving vertical transportation equipment.

Station Operations Coordination

  • Coordinate maintenance activities to minimize impacts on passengers.
  • Review outage scheduling.
  • Recommend strategies to reduce service disruptions.
  • Assist in planning maintenance during non-peak revenue hours whenever practical.
  • Coordinate with station operations, maintenance, facilities, and accessibility staff.

Accessibility Compliance

  • Monitor elevator availability to support accessibility requirements.
  • Review contractor response to accessibility-related outages.
  • Recommend operational improvements that minimize impacts on passengers with disabilities.
  • Evaluate maintenance practices affecting accessibility.

Asset Management Support

  • Maintain equipment condition data.
  • Support capital improvement planning.
  • Recommend maintenance optimization strategies.

Procurement Support

  • Technical specifications.
  • Performance standards.

The Senior PM shall demonstrate:

  • Bachelor's - Degree Engineering or related technical/business field
  • 15+ years of related work experience is required and
  • Previous project management experience on similar or related projects
  • 10+ years of experience with elevator and escalator systems.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing maintenance contracts for public transit, airports, rail systems, hospitals, universities, or comparable facilities.
  • Knowledge of applicable elevator and escalator codes and accessibility requirements.
  • Experience in contract administration and performance auditing.
  • Expertise in asset management and lifecycle planning.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and stakeholder coordination skills.

Preferred Consultant Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • NAESA for Qualified Elevator Inspector (QEI)
  • BS in Mechanical Engineering (or approved equal)

Salary Range: $134,100.00 - $241,400.00
