Role Profile
As a Senior Project Manager (SPM) in our Delivery team, you will play an influential role in overseeing complex design and construction projects, building strong client relationships, and leading project teams. This includes responsibility for the day-to-day management of large-scale project elements and managing multiple Fit-out projects at different stages simultaneously, ensuring a focus on high-quality, client- focused project delivery.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Leading large-scale, complex projects from initial planning and conception through to final close-out, ensuring designs are completed on time and in line with client budgets.
  • Serving as the primary client contact, building and maintaining strong, trusting relationships, while proactively tailoring project strategies to exceed expectations.
  • Managing and coordinating all project aspects, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Chairing regular client and stakeholder meetings, providing transparent progress updates, addressing concerns, and fostering open, solution-focused communication.
  • Overseeing all subcontractor and vendor relationships, evaluating tender bids, and ensuring performance standards align with strict quality benchmarks. 
  • Leading site inspections and coordinating with Site Superintendents and trade partners to monitor construction quality, solve on-site challenges, and maintain rigorous health and safety compliance.
  • Collaborating closely across internal departments—including design, engineering, and pre-construction teams—to ensure seamless integration of client requirements and firm standards.
  • Developing and implementing project management best practices, enhancing documentation, and mentoring junior project managers and project engineers to foster professional growth.
  • Managing overall project financials, including comprehensive budgeting, precise forecasting, and continuous cost control to ensure all financial goals are met.

Your skills and experience:

  • Experience & Expertise: 10+ years of proven project management experience within the fit-out construction field, ideally with demonstrated involvement in medium and large-scale projects.
  • Client Focus: A relationship-focused professional driven to provide an outstanding experience through proactive communication, exceptional service, and an innate ability to anticipate client priorities.
  • Technical & Regulatory knowledge: Strong understanding of commercial fit-out methodologies, local regulatory requirements, trade coordination, and health & safety systems.
  • Systems Proficiency: Experienced in the use of Microsoft Project, Vista, or other construction PM tools and scheduling software tools.
  • Commercial knowledge: Solid commercial acumen with comprehensive experience in project budgeting, forecasting, transparent cost reporting, and contract administration.

Skills Required

  • 10+ years project management experience in fit-out construction
  • Proven ability to lead large-scale, complex fit-out projects from planning through close-out
  • Experience managing budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and contract administration
  • Strong understanding of commercial fit-out methodologies, local regulatory requirements, trade coordination, and health & safety systems
  • Experience using Microsoft Project, Vista, or other construction project management and scheduling software
  • Proven client-facing skills with ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Experience overseeing subcontractor/vendor relationships, tender evaluation, and performance management
  • Demonstrated leadership and mentoring of junior project managers and project engineers
