Veolia Finland is looking for a
Senior Project Manager
to have a key role in enabling Veolia Finland’s and Nordics’ growth within the field of industrial investment projects starting from early study phases to the investment phase. You are an active player in Veolia’s internal PMO and add value by bringing your technical and project expertise in providing our industrial partners with solutions that combat environmental challenges.
In this role you work very closely with project stakeholders including operations, business development, external parties and other project professionals. You report directly to Niko Saaristo, the Head of the Project Management and Technical Office, and will be part of a dynamic project management team. Collaboration with experts from other Veolia countries is an essential part of your role. Based in Espoo, Finland, this role offers flexible hybrid working arrangements, with regular travel throughout Finland and the Nordics to visit client sites.
Your key responsibilities
Ensuring successful deliveries of the selected projects by assuming complete accountability of the project delivery
Serving as a key interface between the company & project implementation organization, end customers, operations, authorities, and contractors, ensuring smooth project delivery from start to finish
Leading and coordinating project execution from initiation to completion
Developing and monitoring project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
Managing project commercial contracts with engineering companies, vendors, suppliers and contractors
Conducting site visits to monitor progress and coordinate with on-site teams
Managing project risks and implementing mitigation strategies
Maintaining project documentation and ensuring proper handover of completed projects
What we are looking for
Relevant technical university degree in e.g. energy, process or chemical engineering
Good attitude and drive towards development and new projects
Proven experience in chemical, energy, or oil industry projects
Minimum of 7-10 years relevant project/engineering management experience
Track record of successful project delivery
Experience in EPC/EPCM project execution and from early phases FEL1 to FEL3
Strong understanding of engineering design principles and project management methodologies
Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, IPMA) is a plus
Fluency in English and Finnish is essential to succeed in this role
Willingness and ability to travel regularly to project sites
Valid driver’s license

Skills Required
