Job DescriptionAECOM is seeking a highly talented, self-driven and motivated Senior Project Manager- Transit Rail to be based in New York, New York area working in the NY Metro Transit Rail Project and Design Management group.
Job responsibilities include:
- Perform project management responsibilities on design of transit rail projects in the NY Metro area
- Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies
- Responsible for administering the design phase of the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement
- Manage a multi-discipline design team to produce high quality design deliverables, meet schedules and stay within project budgets
- Coordinate construction phase services for both design-build and design-bid-build projects
- Ability to coordinate closely with clients, contractors and project partners
- Project types includes Design-Build, Development of Bridging Documents and Design-Bid-Build
- Respond to client issued RFQ and RFPs, provide guidance to marketing for Transit Rail pursuits
- Provide valuable leadership to mid-career staff and mentoring to develop their technical skills.
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS + 10 years or more of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- Professional Engineer License
Preferred Requirements :
- 20+ Years of Experience with NY metro rail agencies including MTA, PA/NY/NJ and NJ Transit
- 15+ Years of Experience in Design Project Management Role
- Strong understanding of FRA and FTA requirements for project implementation
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
