The Job At-A-Glance :
Plans, coordinates, and oversees all aspects of information technology-specific projects from initiation to closing. Works with leaders, subject matter experts, and analysts to define project requirements, feasibility studies and needs/impact assessments. Develops detailed project plans and manages all aspects of the project lifecycle (as applicable to the project) including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, testing, documentation, training, and on-time delivery within budget constraints. Projects have a technology component which could involve networking, virtualization, storage, W indows/Linux, database, security, datacenter and cloud environments, monitoring, tools, IT compliance, application upgrades and deployments, etc. Project teams will include IT /hosting personnel, cross-departmental teams, and outside vendors. Projects will vary in number, size, and complexity.
Responsible for adhering to all security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy policies, controls, and commitments.
A Typical Day :

  • Advanced knowledge of project methodology and in-depth understanding of how to apply the processes.
  • Capable of providing guidance, instruction, and work direction to other PMs.
  • Ability to effectively handle complex issues/projects on a regular basis; oversees large projects requiring the use of complex project management skills and excellent soft skills.
  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Consistently networks with all levels of management of the organization.
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments with little to no instruction.


Bring Your Passion, Do What You Love. Here's What We're Looking For :

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 6+ years of experience.
  • Seeking 8 years' experience in project management with 5 years specifically within IT.
  • PMP certification required.
  • Strong knowledge of and ability to effectively communicate key risks and issues management concepts in business terms
  • Strong knowledge of risk and control issues in a highly regulated environment
  • Ability to work independently and with various levels of technical and non-technical personnel
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to operate effectively independently or in teams, making progress on tasks while dealing with potential process and project ambiguity
